During lockdown, Jonathan Cohen took daily walks around his family’s San Diego, California, neighborhood. He embossed one card with an illustration of a high-heel boot overflowing with a cacophonous and colorful bouquet; another, with a pink-monochrome stencil of a smaller heel filled with roses. His third design features three of his model muses—Aicha Bassoum, Lucia Villa, Sasha Kichigina—donning extravagant floral capes of roses, lilies, peonies, and yes, matilija poppies, paired with some drawn-on Doc Maartens.
